| DENTISTS FOR THE DISABLED AND ELDERLY IN NEED OF TREATMENT, INC., (D-DENT) is a referral agency that provides free comprehensive dental services to financially needy developmentally disabled and elderly clients statewide, through an organized system of volunteer Dentists and Dental Labs. An application and explanation letter are mailed to eligible prospective clients, who are then placed on the 2-3 year waiting list in the computer, according to the date received, and filed in notebooks by counties. Due to the huge numbers of eligible clients, D-DENT cannot take "emergency" cases, and appointments are made by date order. |
