| In 1987, a small band of tourism enthusiasts met together to plan how Oklahoma could attract a larger number of travelers to our state. During the last 15 years, the association has grown in numbers and strength. Individually, organizations that belong to the OTIA have limited resources; however, OTIA has encouraged its members to pool their resources in order to offer the finest in tourism education. In cooperation with the Oklahoma State Department of Tourism, the organizations that make up the OTIA work tirelessly to protect the interests of Oklahoma's tourism product. |
